The Joint Account (“the app”) is run by Husband University (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and your rights. Contact: ja@thehusbanduniversity.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address (to sign you in), and your first name and username (shown to your partner).
- Your Love Currency choice and test result.
- Content you create: tasks, favours, thank-you notes, joint goals and the House Points ledger.
- Device push token, if you allow notifications.
- Subscription status, if paid features are offered and you subscribe. We do not receive your full card details.
The app has no advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and we do not sell your data.
Who can see it
You and the partner you link with can see your joint account’s tasks, shop, balances and statements. Your partner can see your first name, username and Love Currency. Other app users cannot see your joint account. The service providers below process data to run the app.
Why we use it
To provide the app you asked for (performance of a contract), to send the notifications you allowed (consent), and to keep the service secure (legitimate interests).
Service providers
- Supabase: database, sign-in and storage of your data.
- Expo: delivery of push notifications.
- Resend: delivery of sign-in emails, if configured.
- RevenueCat: subscription status, if paid features are offered.
- Apple and Google: app distribution and any in-app purchases.
Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where a restricted transfer requires it, we use an appropriate transfer safeguard. Apple and Google also provide their own privacy information for their services.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile and content while your account exists. Closing a joint account hides its history from both partners; it does not delete each person’s own account. If you choose “Delete my account”, we remove your account and associated app content. Backups and records we must retain by law may remain for a limited period under the applicable retention rules. Contact us if you need details about a particular record.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict its use. You can delete everything at any time in the app: Settings → Delete my account. For anything else, email us. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
Children
The app is for adults in a relationship and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
